Quinn is a super sweet, energetic lady who was surrendered due to anxiety. Her foster home has been working hard with her to identify and start working through her phobias. Many of Quinn's fears seem to be related to living in a city. She is especially scared of traffic, trucks (especially garbage trucks and semi’s), and other sounds and sights. She's a country girl at heart and enjoys slow rides on country roads.
Quinn is athletic and loves to run. She does well on a leash and knows SIT, COME, WHOA, BOX, and STAY. She is a counter-surfer and will need additional work there. She came from a house with kids and was reported to be good with cats (not tested by foster). She interacts well with the foster family’s 2 dogs, an 80lb 8 yr old male GSP and a 40lb 12 yr old female GSP. Being around the other dogs seems to have a calming effect on her so we recommend Quinn have a companion animal at her new home.
Quinn is gun-shy, so she will not be a hunting partner, but she loves off-leash open-area runs. She has been known to climb/jump fences, so oversight is needed if she is outside in a yard.
Quinn would love to find a patient forever home who can provide her firm guidance, but win her trust and provide her with adequate daily exercise. Her anxiety issues will create challenges, but her love and snuggles promise to make it worth while.
Quinn is being fostered in Nebraska.
