Grace is an all around great dog and will make someone an excellent companion. She is easy to have around, picks up house rules quickly and has a moderate energy level. She's food motivated which makes training a snap. She gets along well with other dogs (large and small) and plays well by herself with her toys.
Our day typically starts with breakfast and a training session followed by a little playtime. I work from home so she plays by herself or naps during the day. In the evening we go to a 26 acre off-leash dog area where she gets to run in the woods and play with other dogs where she has earned the nickname Galloping Grace. It is a joy to watch her blossom and gain confidence. She loves to run and explore but stays close, too.
Her training is coming along nicely. She's mastered sit, down and paw. We're working on wait and stay. Grace is crate-trained and housebroken and responds well to corrections (usually a "uh, uh" works). She can be jumpy when excited and mouthy during play which has shown improvement. All in all, she's going to make an excellent companion!
