Hi, my name is Jefferson. I’m a middle age guy who is really calm and loves to hang out with my foster mom and dad and my two foster brother pointers. I am happiest laying in the couch or getting pets. I sleep in my kennel all night without problem, but if you let me, I would probably snuggle you all night long too. I am crate trained and if you put a bone in for me to chew on I’m super happy. I’ve got quite a nose on me and am super curious. I am potty trained, but in a new house I would just keep an eye on me. Maybe belly bands for a couple of days to make sure I don’t try and mark. I’m good with kids and dogs. I have not been cat tested, but if you are interested that can be arranged. I’m not averse to loud noises so I could be trained to hunt. I have been known to go on point in the back yard. I’m a great companion for someone looking for a buddy. Jefferson is currently being fostered in Des Moines, IA and is working on gaining some weight but is healthy and heart worm free - and so handsome!
