Update: We received Brooke's biopsy results, and the masses removed were mast cell tumors. The good news is they are non-aggressive, giving her an overall positive outlook.
Brook is continuing to recover from surgery and is doing well. She is comfortable, soaking up attention, and getting exactly the care she needs.
We also have a happy next chapter to share. Once she has fully healed, Brook will be adopted by her foster home.
Thank you to everyone who followed her story and supported her along the way. This is what your support makes possible.

Update: After coming into GPPR, Brook completed her vetting and the findings were significant. She had a severe uterine infection along with numerous polyps. During surgery, she was spayed and four masses were removed. Two of those masses were concerning and have been sent out for biopsy, and we are currently waiting on results.
She is recovering well so far and, true to form, is affectionate, loves attention, and wants to stay close to her people.
We wanted to share this because many of you followed her story and asked what happened next. This is part of rescue that isn’t always visible. Some dogs need more than a quick turnaround. They need medical care, time, and consistency, and that is exactly where your support goes.
We will continue to share updates as we learn more. For now, she is safe, she is recovering, and she is being well cared for.
