Wayne just arrived to GPPR and is settling in. Here is what we know so far!
Wayne is a handsome, affectionate, and well-trained GSP mix looking for a forever home. He was originally adopted from a shelter as a stray, but it didn’t work out because he is not good with cats. His prey drive is strong, and he will go after squirrels, rabbits, and cats.
Wayne is a dream companion for an active family. He is crate and house trained, knows a wide variety of commands (sit, stay, lie down, kennel, leave it, ok, outside, and more), and follows a routine beautifully. He thrives on structure and LOVES to play fetch. He’ll chase a ball until near collapse if you let him!
Wayne is:
- Calm and well-behaved in the house, for a GSP anyway ;)
- Quiet (except when alerting to people outside)
- Very affectionate and cuddly
- Good with children
- Obedient and eager to please
- A Velcro dog who wants to be near his people
- Great on a normal work/school schedule
Wayne is well adjusted to a daily routine that includes morning and evening feedings, kennel time during the day, playtime and walks in the evenings, and cuddling up at night. He is used to sleeping in his kennel in the bedroom and will put himself to bed if he sees you getting ready.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and well-trained dog who’s happiest by your side (or playing fetch!), Wayne may be your perfect match. He’s ready for a second chance in a home that understands his needs and can give him the love he deserves.
