Meet Remington, Your New Best Friend!

Remington is an adorable, intelligent, and full of energy one year old female looking for her forever home. Remington was surrendered as her owners could no longer care for her in their apartment (she needs a yard to run in, daily exercise, and mental stimulation.)

Remington would be a great fit for an active house and could be a great running or hunting partner. She’d also make a great family dog if she gets the exercise and mental stimulation any German Shorthair needs. She doesn’t want to be in a crate all day; she wants to be with her people.

Remington:

• Wants to be in the same room as her people
• Loves to be outside, she’d spend all day outside (with you!) if she could – she’d love a yard to call her own where she can stalk and watch the birds
• Is learning basic training in her foster home (sit, leash walking, etc.)
• Loves to chew – give this girl a collagen roll, bully stick, or yak cheese stick and she’ll be happy
• Very treat motivated, which makes training easy
• Is crate trained, but does bark for a few minutes after going into her crate. Give her a peanut butter Kong or treats to go in, and she’s happy.
• Loves her walks, she’ll need an active home to ensure she gets the exercise she needs
• Is housetrained, she’ll just need to know where to go to be let out in her new home – no accidents in her kennel since she’s been in her foster home
• Is good with other dogs – she’d love a sibling in her new home, especially one that could keep up with her play style (lots of running and zoomies!)
• Has the instinct to be a good hunting partner: stalks birds outside, points, doesn’t appear to be scared of loud noises. She’ll need training, but the instinct is there
