|
Winchester came to us as a stray who spent some time in a shelter before joining GPPR. He is about five and a genuinely kind dog who is trying hard to understand this new indoor life. He was likely an outdoor dog before rescue, so the sounds and routines of a home still make him uneasy at times. Despite that, he is settling in, learning quickly, and showing a gentle, steady temperament.
He does well with other dogs and seems comfortable in a crate. He was recently neutered and his marking is already improving with routine and supervision. He has strong prey drive for cats so those are not a fit for him, but he had no interest in birds when introduced to CRP. His recall is good, and he shows promise for continued training as he gains confidence.
Winchester is an easy dog to root for. He wants to connect, he wants to try, and he’s slowly figuring out that he’s safe. He’ll do best with someone who can give him time, structure, and patience as he continues this transition into home life.
Stay tuned as he settles in and we get to know him more. Complete the adoption form here: ADOPT ME
