Lucky is 5 years old.  He is a special needs boy.  He is on phenobarbital for seizures.  These occur about twice a day and once at night.  The seizures always happen when he is deep asleep.  He will start to twitch like he is dreaming and then wakes up and sings or howls for several minutes.  While he is doing that he is out of it.  He looks at you but isn't seeing you.

He does know his name and how to sit.

In addition, he has been trained to ring a bell by the door to go out.

Lucky does not have a mean bone in his body.  He currently lives with a child.

He is house trained and for the most part kennel trained.  He is a nervous pacer and rarely barks.  He knows how to sit but struggles with even that.  He can be described as being mentally slow or autistic.

He is a digger but would never dig to get out because he doesn't realize there is anything to get out of.  He just doesn't think that way.  His world kinds of ends a few inches past the end of his nose.

Lucky rides well in a car.  He's a pretty low level energy dog.

He would do best with a companion animal that understands and tolerates that he is different.  He likes to play with toys.

Lucky isn't aware of territories so he will go after whatever dog dish or food he finds.  It also means he may plop down too close to another dog as he just doesn't grasp those concepts.

Lucky is not a hunter or the perfect dog.  He is special but affectionate, goofy and truly a one of a kind dog.  He had no issues with cats when he was fostered but was a little curious about this wanting only to sniff them.
