Shasta is a lovely lady who is smart and loyal. She is about 5 years old and 45 lbs of pure pointer. Shasta’s two favorite things to do are (1) go on walks & (2) nap. Shasta loves to interact and play with people. She is a very smart and has learned so much in such a short time. Shasta is potty trained and crate trained. She knows how to “sit”, “shake” and “stay”, and knows her name as well as “leave it”. Shasta is continuing work on her loose leash walking. She eats up attention and is very motivated by praise and food, she works so hard to make her people happy and responds well to redirection. She loves birds but is more of a “pouncer” than a pointer and would require additional field training to hunt, she does not appear to be gun shy. A true mommy at heart she is protective of her people, so she would do better in a house where she is the only dog, or a home where she is with an older submissive female.
