Abby has been with her foster family for a few months now and they are learning a lot about her.  She is house, crate and potty trained.  Abby gets along well with dogs, kids and all people. She is a bit shy when you first meet her but warms up quickly with a bit of attention.  She has a very sweet personality and loves to be near you and will curl up near your feet.  Abby is a bit anxious and would do best in an adult only household where the adults are home a lot as she whines if left alone.  She would also do best with another dog to keep her company when no one is home and she does best going outside to potty if the yard is fenced.  She is fine around children but if she gets excited she may inadvertently knock smaller ones down.  She is great if left out of her crate and can be trusted to be out alone in the house. She loves to curl up on the couch or on a dog bed and nap.  Abby is gaining more confidence every day and has started to play with toys and the resident dogs.  Abby is very gun shy and afraid of thunder, she will never be a hunter.  She will be a wonderful companion for the right family and would love to meet you if you think this may be you.  Abby is located in Des Moines, IA.
